Professionals Nord is seeking a Piping and Plant Designer on behalf of AFRY. The assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at AFRY for 12 months. The intention is that you may eventually be employed directly by them, provided that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

Job Responsibilities
AFRY is now looking for an experienced piping and plant designer within Plant Design for the operations in Luleå. You will be part of a growing team of about 30 colleagues working with design, construction, calculations, and project management within mechanics, piping & plant, and HVAC.

Examples of job responsibilities:

·       Design within piping, HVAC, and plant layout

·       Detailed design in both larger and smaller projects, in both brownfield and greenfield

·       Coordination and follow-up in the role of lead designer

·       Participation in feasibility studies, pre-projects, and implementation phases

We are looking for someone with

·       A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

·       Experience in Pipe & Plant Design, mechanical design, or similar – preferably within the process industry

·       Familiarity with various CAD environments

·       Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

·       A valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in a similar role, have worked as a lead designer or project manager, and have an established network within the industry.
